Hi,
As the title says it would seem like the electronics on my GV Wood are troubled. The issue is with the selector switch and potentially the control board but I'm unsure which or if it's both. I've made two short videos of going through the pick-up configurations in both directions hopefully to showcase the issues.

There are a few symptoms, the first is that there seems to be some issue when switching between the splitted and regular configurations almost like there is hysteresis in the system. Often going from Neck -> Neck "splitted" or from Bridge -> Bridge "splitted" there's no actual change and it's the same volume/tone coming out of the guitar (the switch changed position but the signal path stayed the same). Passing through the middle position sometimes eliminates that issue but didn't in the first video, if I want to use the splitted version often times I have to jiggle the switch between positions a bunch until it goes into that configuration. The second symptom when switching between pickup wiring configurations via the selector switch there's some heavy cracklings sounds (seems like more then just the mechanical contact change) that happen when I move the selector switch. It is easy to recreate this effect by simply jiggling the selector switch in-place. It's very present when switching between the two neck pick-up configurations.
Okay, those are the issues. My first thought is it's probably just a failing contact on the mechanical switch (I've ordered and received a replacement already) but it seems odd that a mechanical switching issue would cause so much variance. I took some photos of the contacts on the electronic board and the switch itself as my next thought was it may be a wiring/grounding issue.

I've since ordered a new control board just to be on the safe side for when I give it to my local tech. Does anybody have any experience with these issues or suggestions for an order of operations for my tech to try?
Its been an issue since I've received the guitar but I was able to still enjoy it and use it at home for practice and recording as I could still get it into the correct pick-up mode with some jiggling, but now I'm hoping to bring it out to gigs and rehearsal as it deserves to be shown off for more to enjoy. I just need to have some control over the sound coming out of it before I can.
Thanks for reading.

The switch noise indicates that it needs some contact cleaning or changing the switch.
