Only had my Vigier Retro 54 for a year or so but use it every day. I guess I stepped on the cable too many times. Also when sitting and playing the cable is attached to the guitar at just the right spot that the guitar puts pressure on the cable. So the jack is loose and my output is cutting out. I have heard that this guitar uses a long barrel jack. As I will have to remove my strings and take everything apart can someone tell me the right part for the jack replacement so I can have it ready? I need to fix quickly as I need to use this guitar this week.

Hey Scott,
You need a switchcraft stereo long barrel jack like this one.

Stereo? How does that work? I would think I would have had to use a stereo amp? Hmmmm. I already ordered mono, but I'll order this one now.

Ok, got the jack. I’m guessing we solder the stereo as mono?
Could someone at Vigier give me the step by step? Maybe someone could ask them as I don't speak French?
I assume I must remove my guitar strings. Hoping the carbon fiber neck and setup will not be lost?
unscrew the faceplate. Question, do I have to unscrew the pickups? If so, in order to keep the factory setup, do I need to measure the height of each side of the pickups and try to screw them back in to the same left and right heights?
I'm hoping when I open it up I'll see how the old long barrel jack was wired, and that I can just take the new jack and wire it the same?
Thanks for your help, I’m figuring that since you guitar is unique, I might as well try to do this myself rather than go the generic guitar center in town.
