Hi,
I just bought a Vigier ExcessRoger Glovver Custom, and through the website tried to date the guitar. The serial number being 960548, the website indicates that this guitar has been made in 96. 16 years ago. And I bought it new. Last weekend.
Anybody a clue as to the actual building year ? Can't believe it has been lying in a store for 15 years.
Also, it came with a Gator case - not the standard Vigier case I believe ?
On an entirely different level : I bought the guitar in Belgium, but I live in Thailand. Catching my flight in Brussels to Munich, Munich to Brussels, the checkin staff refuses me to take the guitar on board (no surprise). I check it in, off course, upon arrival in Bangkok : no guitar.
W're now 24 hours later and the guitar is still not recovered, and Thai Airways doesn't seem to be able to trace it. I feel completely at loss.
I anyone stumbles upon a Vigier Excess Roger Glover Custom Deep Burgundy Rosewood Fingerboard, serial number 960548, let me know - it's mine.
Desperately yours,
Cedric
Brand new Excess Roger Glover : serial number starting with 96 ?
Hi,
that's actually quite impossible since the Roger Glover Signature Bass has only been released in 2006. (If you scroll down far enough on the News feed on the website you will find the article)
They probably numbered yours wrong. You will have to unscrew the neck to find the actual date yours was made.
Did it find its way back to you?
I myself am the proud ownner of a Roger Glover Signatur Original. Natural Alder and Maple fingerboard. A wonderful instrument, i must say. I'm happy every time I touch it. worth every single penny spent
Cheers
Phil
