Hi!
I came across a question!
Vigier neck is wooden as far as I'm concerned - no special finish (which feels really great and this is what I like about it, frankly).
On finished guitars I usually just use a soft dry cloth after playing to remove sweat and dust from strings, neck and fingerboard. To remove fingerprints from the body I use just a standard guitar polish.
I've never run across something valuable over Internet - either C2-H5-OH advices (which is destructive to wood) or marketing...
Could you please share some practical view on that? Maybe, there's some good stuff out there (especially neck cleaning after playing)? How do you clean the fingerboard?
As long as we're talking about "hardware", I dont' think these are most stupid questions out there. I just wasn't able to find any structured information on this, especially for surfaces with no glossy finish.
Thanks!

To clean my
guitar I use a window cleaner, of course you do not wet the rag, just spray a
little of cleaner on the rag, then clean the guitar...

Same for the fingerboard, but if the rosewood fingerboard gets very dirty (because
you forgot to clean it for a while) then you can use paint thinner, to remove
the dried dirt.
