Fredboard maintenance

Hi,I wonder what you people do for fretboard maintenance...What do I need to do and use exactly? I've heard it's good to use oil now and then... is this "dunlop fretboard oil" good stuff, or do you guys recommend something else? You use that for cleaning AND maintenance, like that Dunlop stuff?And to be sure: Rosewood is the light wood and maple wood is the darker wood? Then I got maple wood on my Indus.

Maple is the light wood and Rosewood is the darker wood. I just use lemon oil on the fretboard, but not everytime I re-strings it.

Ok, thanks for the correction. So I got Rosewood then :)Anyway, I've just ordered some of that Dunlop lemon stuff... I'll see how it works out.

You should scrape off the crud with a credit card, and oil it ocassionally with the oil, as was mentioned.
