Expert Retro 54 Trem Issue.

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I have a loose trem on my Retro 54- firstly where the threaded cylinder that holds the trem arm joins the trem body. There seems to be a small washer? that holds the cylinder in place, and the cylinder moves independant of the trem body. Is this part meant to be held in place by the washer? Also, the trem arm itself has some slight freeplay when screwed in, even with the Allen bolt tight. Can I/should I be replacing the whole trem, or are there any tricks to tighten up the current unit. I should also mention this is an older model 000081.

We do not have trem arms that will fit this tremolo system anymore - you would have to go to a Schallar dealer direct (https://www.schaller-electronic.com/hp322968/Tremolo-Arm-for-Tremolo-2000-13110200.htm?ITServ=CY4a5547dfX15a65adf418XY6543)
 
Have you tried putting plumbers PTFE pipe sealing tape into where the thread goes, as this is a tech tip to stop a loose tremolo arm / worn thread.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try the tape fix for the arm, but the cylinder it sits in will still be slightly loose against the bridge plate, so I'm wondering- would a new Vigier trem drop in as a replacement?
edit: I've just noticed that I can replace these older bridges quite easily on eBay!

You'd need to replace it like for like, the tremolo on a new Vigier bridge is different size.
Ebay might be a cheaper option, just make sure to get the correct fit.
