Seems from these few videos that Shawn Lane had his Vigier setup with a floating trem (i.e. not set hard against the guitar body but with some "play" and room to move). However Vigier recommends to have the trem flat to the guitar body.

Can the Vigier Shawn Lane model be setup with floating trem? What are the pros and cons of this with regards to:

1) Feel
2) Tuning Stability
3) Action
4) Intonation

Our guitars are normally set up with about 1 1/2 step pull on the bridge, there should be no problem with adjusting the bridge flat against the body or so there is room to pull the bridge up.
