Hello all,
I'm wishing to replace the original non-locking tuners on my 2004 Supra for a locking model. The ones it has now are 6 in-line, non locking, and with a screw to secure it to the headstock (see photo). Are those originals made by Schaller? Gotoh? .... other?
My main question is if I can find a drop-in replacement but with locking mechanism of the usual brands, without altering at all the headstock (i.e. not drilling any additional holes for a screw or for a pin, etc..).
Any hints? Which make/model has a drop-in replacement?
Thanks in advance!
Jorge
p.s. this is a fixed-bridge (hardtail) Supra

The machine heads used on Vigier guitars are made by Schaller.

Many thanks Ben,
funnily enough, I've browsed through Schaller's web page a few times trying to find that model (same form factor)... the closest I've seen is the "M6 mini" ... is it another model or that one?
I'm worried that I may purchase a set of "M6 mini locking" and they end up not being a drop-in replacement (different screw/center tuning post distance)
Cheers!

It is the M6 range made for Vigier (locking version pin type - without the screws) - are you wanting the locking version, if so I do not think it is 'drop-in' replacement as the screw holes will be in a slightly different position.

well .... what I would like is to take out those in picture above (which I believe they're even still used on locking-nut models i.e. Excalibur Originals), and replace them with a locking model with screw, so I was hoping a "M6 mini locking" would do the trick.
Let me put the question in a different way: Are the non-locking tuners on Vigiers the "M6 mini" model? If they are, then "M6 mini locking" will do the job as it has the same form factor

I get that the locking model used now on most Vigiers are pin model, with oversize thumb-wheel. That's not good for me as the screw hole will be visible (I'm picky)

The model is M6-2000
I think Patrice is best to give a definitive answer for fit on this one...

Happy New Year to you too !
Ben/Patrice ... I was wondering, as the pickguard on the Natural Supra is cracked and ugly on a few places, can I order a mirror-gold HSH pickguard to replace it?
Any part number/reference I can use to speed up the process?
How could I order it? (not sure if Letusa is still the distributor in Spain for your products).
Regards
