Hallo all. I have been enjoying my Excalibur supra for two years now.Amazing guitar. The neck is a joy to play.Recently I have come up on different forums about the problem of neck wood drying etc....My question is:
Should I use some type of conditioner so that the neck wood does not dry out. I really want to take care of my Precious Excalibur. My confusion is that lemon oil should not be used on maple necks. My guitar is maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. What kind of oil should I use for her?
Thank you Guys!

For the rosewood fretboard I would recommend boiled linseed oil. Lemon oil is not preferd on a maple neck. It shouldn't be used on any untreated woods. For maple necks I know many players are using gunstock oil and beewax, sometimes as a mixture.
There are as many theories about oils as there are players though...
