No, not taking it out to dinner!

I was wondering if someone could help with putting a date on the bass I just acquired. It's an early Arpege #006 and in the listing on the site it says 1986 but I'm not sure if this is a 90/10 neck or something earlier that would have a different set of s/n!!??!!
**OK I've learnt that this is a Series 1 which pre dates the carbon necks and are not listed on this site's 'date your Vigier' page. So anyone help with when this would have been made?

Would love some help

Many thanks

Lovely bird!!! This will be very early bass, early 80's...I will see if Patrice can help with exact dating.

006 is 1986 with a carbon neck, you have a wood neck reinforced by a plate of metal.
Your bass is probably from 1982.
To be sure, the date is writen in the treble pickup cavity.
It is beautiful and look in perfect condition. A collector...

Hi Patrice
Many thanks for letting me know. I adore these early Arpege basses and this one is utterly beautiful to look at, play and listen to!
I hope to find more like it especially to replace the carbon neck one I had years ago!
All the best

That thing is SWEET! For a bass that's 5 years older than I am, it's absolutely immaculate. Nice score!
Oh, and for the record, I would certainly take that one out for dinner
