It is a great video even if we cannot really tell about the sound, but Ron Thal is so cool that it is always a pleasure to watch him. I think in English we say he is suave.

It was a great interview / piece by Ron...it is also up on the big US / UK website Music Radar - here - the only pity is he grabbed the mic and used it to play slide but it didn't record properly so they couldn't use it in the video.
