From what serial number (approx.) did Vigier use stainless steel frets on GV Wood?
<t>Thanks Ben for clarifying things. Sounds like these will be unique, very cool, and very collectable, which also means they will likely command a premium price :(. We'll see. I've been looking for a used Arpege II guitar for more than 10 years on the used market and had only found one in ...

From what serial number (approx.) did Vigier use stainless steel frets on GV Wood?
<t>I see that World Guitars is teasing the Passion models that you mentioned. Nice. However, I also see something very interesting in the picture on the headstock. A truss rod cover? Will these guitars have a truss rod? I suspect not, but can't explain any other reason for a truss rod cover ...

From what serial number (approx.) did Vigier use stainless steel frets on GV Wood?
<t>Thanks for the reply Ben! Can you clarify more on these Passion instruments? Are they guitars or basses? Do they have the 100% carbon fiber neck like they did back in that timeframe, or are they 10/90? When I go to each of these UK dealer sites I don't see them? Maybe they're not posted ...

From what serial number (approx.) did Vigier use stainless steel frets on GV Wood?
<t>As far as I know, they've always used stainless steel frets on the GV Wood. Owned something like the 22nd one built, according to Patrice (it had no serial #), and it had stainless steel frets. Wish I could have kept it. Nicest guitar I've ever owned. However, my dream guitar is a late ...

VIGIER ARPEGE FOR SALE
<t>According to the serial number database on this site, this Arpege was built in 1986. That makes sense since it has the 100% carbon neck which was part of the 2nd gen. The fingerboard would likely be phenowood and not ebony I believe. Is this guitar for sale? If so, is the trem arm also included ...

<t>Awesome. I own a GV Wood and it is everything they say and more. However, here's something that has bothered me for some time and reading this review reminds me again. They say it takes style cues from PRS and I've read others on the internet suggest that Vigier copied PRS's ...

Looks like a Vigier GV Wood will be on the next cover of Premier Guitar for the "Best of 2011" piece. Great to see. Seems the guitar world is finally catching on that Vigier makes, and has been making, great guitars; something we've known for a long time.

What guitarist would you like to see play our instruments?
How about Roine Stolt. He's played Parker and Jet for a while. I think once he got his hands on a Vigier there would be no turning back. Could seem him with a GV.

GV Wood P90 Clarification
Hello. On the main fixed bridge guitar page the GV Wood P90 says Amber P90 Pickups. However, in the spec page it lists Lundgren pickups. I thought it came with Lundgren's exclusively?

Wanted: Vigier Arpege Guitar (preferably a mid 80s model)
<t>Thanks for posting the pictures. I have seen that bridge issue on other Arpege's. Must be a stress fracture? Do you use, or still have, the tremolo bar? I think the guitar would look fine with the black bridge replacement Patrice suggested.Hard to see what's going on with the Headstock ...

Wanted: Vigier Arpege Guitar (preferably a mid 80s model)
<t>As far as general ballpark value I have never seen an Arpege II or III for sale on the used market. I have seen a few Passion IIs and IIIs go for generally around 1400 Euros on EBay. I've seen one Arpege I on Ebay some time ago, but can't remember at what price it sold. I think it may ...

Hello,Thanks for the reply. I would obviously have to see pictures and probably need specific questions answered before I could establish what I think it's worth. If you could send some pictures that would be great.

I hope the N.A.M.M. was successful for all at Vigier.
<t>It is great to read and see (from the NAMM pictures and videos) this growing interest in Vigier. I've been following Vigier since the mid 80s and have only recently been able to become a very happy and proud owner of one of their great instruments (GV Wood). Had I known they were going to do ...

Yes. The sales person was very honest and upfront that the bass had been modified there. It played and sounded really great, but did appear to need a new nut and possibly some re-fretting.

Thank you. No problem on the delayed response. It was not urgent. I actually checked the bass out and it does have the 100% carbon fibre neck. Could it still be pre-1986?Here's a link to it:http://www.musicgoroundboston.com/detail.aspx?id=945213

Fantastic review of the new Excalibur Kaos
<t>I interpreted this as not necessarily a knock on the Kaos per se, but a general comment that tuners are cumbersome on any reverse headstock guitar. Nevertheless, I love the guitar. Wish I could buy one!I know one of the points of the Kaos is to keep the cost down, but I'd love to see a ...

<t>A local music store has a used Passion 4 string bass in stock. They state the serial number is 122. I looked through the database and can't find a Passion bass in there with this serial number. I see there is a Passion 5 with this serial number, but does that refer to a 5 string or 5th ...

What's your favourite feature on your vigier???
<t>Maybe less resistant is a better way to describe it than more responsive. I've never played any other Vigier, but I've played a lot of guitars with either ebony, rosewood or maple fingerboards. I'd say ebony is the closest feel, but this fingerboard is just on another level. Of ...

What's your favourite feature on your vigier???
My favorite feature on my GV Wood is its Phenowood fingerboard. It is so responsive that it makes things nearly effortless. I wish they offered it on other models. Would love to have a Kaos with that fingerboard.

<t>Understood. I thought that perhaps what I was hearing might be caused by one of the saddle poles resonating and that adjusting those might address it. However, I will hold off on touching those and bring it to a dealer. I changed the strings and the issue seems to have moved to be most prominent ...

OK. That makes sense. I noticed that there are also allen wrench based adjustments for each saddle pole, but they are not pointed out in the diagram. Do those simply adjust how tightly the pole is that the saddle is on?
