Who do I need to blow to get a new zero fret?
<t>Patrice, hi!<br/> I've got the same problem, I need a replacement zero fret for my Custom for more than half a year already (I'd even better go for two of them for the future) and even a hard case if possible.<br/> It's very uncofortable now to do bends/vibrato on first 3 frets ...

Tell us about the first time with your Vigier?
Hi!
I saw a guitar shop in Geneva a year ago - they do have Vigiers (I found them on the dealers list here) but not many. It's worth checking if you are nearby, I guess.
Hope this helps!

Indus maple neck pickups
<t>Hi!<br/> Yes, I think the same way - Hot Rails and SH-13 are "middy", that's exactly what I like about them. <br/> As far as I know, some technicians do install pickups with connectors. This way, you put connectors on your Vigier wirings and them you don't have to seriously dig into ...

Indus maple neck pickups
<t>Hi!<br/> On my other guitar (which is used for rock and metal mainly, it's a strat with very nice middle frequencies and less lows and highs), I have the following experience - maybe that could help.<br/> SD Hot Rails mini-humbucker rocks in neck&middle - the sound seems complete, fat and ...

What if the frets are worn out
<t>Hi!<br/> Fret replacement is a regular service procedure which is done on all guitars from time to time. Frets get worn out with time because of playing, which is normal.<br/> Fret replacement procedure has nothing to do with neck straightness. Of course, you shouldn't replace the neck ...

Zero fret worn out?
Patrice,
I mean does the Zero Fret have cavities initially or they appear due to friction/normal wear, with time?
I'd consider ordering a replacement fret for the future then, to be on the safe side.
Thanks!

Zero fret worn out?
<t>Hi!<br/> Noticed a strange thing... On my Excalibur Custom, Zero Fret has cavities (or guides?) in which strings reside. When I do bend strings 1-3 on 1-3 frets, sometimes string pops out of the cavity - mostly I feel it with my fingers, it doesn't seem to have any impact on sound. <br/> Is ...

Choice of a straplock system...
<t>Hi!<br/> Looking for chrome-plated straplocks for by beloved Vigier! <br/> I've been using Jim Dunlop Dual Design straplocks for a very long time... but they are nickel... and they don't produce chrome-plated AFAIK...<br/> What do you use on your Vigier? I personally don't like ...

Excalibur Original/Custom pickup config suggestions
<r>Hi!<br/> I think it would be nice to have a push-pull bridge humbucker splitter integrated into the tone knob on Original and Custom models! <br/> I do like to have it on my other guitars - it helps to achieve a single-coil "raw" sound with this type of a switch.<br/> Of course, there are pros ...

Excalibur Custom strings height adjustments
Patrice, indeed! The most beautiful and versatile guitar in the world!!!
Worked perfectly...what a comfort it is to simply adjust the height, with no headache at all!
Thank you so much for what you are doing!!!

Excalibur Custom strings height adjustments
<t>Hi! <br/> I feel like strings are a little bit high - I would like to set the tremolo a little bit lower.<br/> Usually, with regular Floyds, I have to tune down all strings before turning the two tremolo mounting screws to adjust its height - this way I don't harm tremolo "knives". This is ...

Vigier care/cleaning
<t>Hi!<br/> I came across a question! <br/> Vigier neck is wooden as far as I'm concerned - no special finish (which feels really great and this is what I like about it, frankly). <br/> On finished guitars I usually just use a soft dry cloth after playing to remove sweat and dust from strings ...

Excalibur Custom pickups setup advice needed
<t>Hi!<br/> Is there any structured view/guidance on how to setup an HSH configuration? Well, I did it with my ears - what sounds good for me. <br/> Thus, the neck pickup is set a little bit face-towards-head, the bridge one is a little face-towards-tremolo and the middle one is just set to be lower ...

Strings snapping on excalibur
<t>Hi!<br/> I would like to tell you about my experience (not on Vigier yet, unfortunately, just planning the order).<br/> I'm not sure if it's a matter of low quality or intense playing hehe, but ALL D'Addario string packages I had (made in USA, both acoustic and electric types ...
