I tried to put on .13's on my vigier Marilyn (hardtail bridge) to be able to tune down to drop B. Now i'm experiencing extreme fret buzz on the lowest strings. I file the slots in the nut quite a bit in order to fit the thicker strings in. I tried adjusting the action, but nothing much happens... Maybe someone can give me a short guide on how to set up the action properly on a Marilyn with hardtail bridge, i'm having some problems there7

Possible you have cut the nut down too far. What year is the guitar - if it is new will have a teflon removable nut, which can be replaced (in that case it just 'pops' out/on and can be cut for different sizes).
