My first Vigier!

Hello, my name is Hans and since one week I have a 1996 Vigier excess bass.
In my lifetime I played a LOT of basses, but never a Vigier. Only did a Vigier demonstration clinic in the 80`s in a music shop in my home town, these were the old Passion models I believe. So little to no experience with Vigier.
I only new this bass from pictures, I never saw one in a shop, untill some time ago in a used instruments store.
First I thought it was purple burst, but it also can be light brown-ish, I will try to post some pictures next time, maybe somebody here can give me a description what colour it is? I already got a link from the very helpfull mr. Vigier about the controls and function of the little hole in the pickguard. Since I don want to bother him with "this and that" about my used bass, I hope this forum can help me now, and in the future about my "new" Vigier!
I noticed that when I pluggeg into a Rockman (80-ties battery driven headphone amp) there was a lot of his with the treble in the center position, when pluggin into my Ashdown amp, the his was gone, I read something about the electronics converting the high impedance to low, something to do with this?
The controls do not have a center "click", only a little marker on the pickguard, not a big issue, but is this standard?
I noticed some very fine hairline cracks on the edges of the rear (bridge) pickup, I don`t know whether these were there from when the instrument was new, maybe the plastic getting old or reacted with the (epoxy? Wax?) whatever it is what the pickup is sealed with?
They are hardly noticeable, I discovered them when I was cleaning the bass when I finally had it at home.
Suppose when a pickup fails( or some other part) , is it still possible to get new original parts? the same Benedetti pickups are still being used in Excess basses, am I right?
Hope you all can help!
