Vigier Guitars

Hello, I just bought a Vigier EXCALIBUR ULTRA used but the EMG are far from the string, Could you tell me what is the factory setup related to the EMG pickup distance to the strings ?? If the pickups are to far, i just need to add a little piece of wood behin the pickup ??????? right ???????????????Thanks for your help and for this beautifull guitar
