I am now an extremely proud recipient of a Excalibur Ultra In Emerald Green (maple f/b and matching headstock) and am looking to change the EMG's in the guitar to BareKnuckle pickups as i am a big fan of these having put a set in my Japanese Signature LP. My problem is...that the pickups come with two options for humbucker mounting baseplates both long leg (1/2") and short leg (1/4") and i am unsure which to use, Tim at BKP thinks that the short leg is necessary (as per strats) however the forum users have stated that emgs are normally mounted with long leg baseplates.Has anybody replaced the p/ups in an ultra and if so can they share any info re the above?

Great, just remember that the BKPs are more sensitive to height adjustment that your average pickup.....just take about half an hour to find the correct height that suits your playing style, but I'm sure you'll enjoy them, they're very nice, harmonic sounding pickups.
