Hi everyone =).Ever since i played a certain forum members (Brad's) guitar, i've known that i want my next investment to be with Vigier. I've been doing my research and i've decided that i think i might go for a Shawn Lane model, though i have a few questions regarding the guitar and a few enquiries on how to aquire it!1. The guitar has a "flat fretboard", will this feel very different and how will it help with my playing (if that is it's purpose)?2. Am i able to request different p/ups without sending my own, for example am i able to get the Supra's pick ups installed?3. I've seen that MachineHead stock these (though they're out of stock at the moment). How do i go about ordering one, with, for examples, the p/up specifications? Do i go through their website, or this one?4. Are there any differences, other than visual, regarding the "Shawn Lane Master signature" and the plain "Shawn lane signature"?I think that's enough questions for the moment! Many thanks to anyone that can help me out =).Cheers!

Hi Ant,        I will try to answer your questions...1. There is no radius to the fretboard, it is completely flat - this will help in very fast, quick legato-style playing. If you play fast lead style you will find the Shawn Lane neck perfect, though you may find that this neck is not as suited to more riff (digging in) based playing as our standard radius necks. 2. You could request a the p/up configuration from the Supra - as a second pickguard - with Vigier guitars it is very simple and quick to swap between pickguards. 3. You should be able to order this guitar through any of our UK dealers - when you place the order that is when you should discuss with the dealer any options.4. The Shawn Lane Master Signature uses flamed Alder for the body, this is a rare wood and limited in supply.  I hope that helps with your decision...happy playing!

Many thanks for the quick reply and for helping me out Ben!I must admit, as much as i enjoy playing lead, i will need a guitar that can handle some pretty heavy riffing too. I've sent a couple questions about the Excalibur Supra, regarding price and design to SoundsGreat.Hopefully i'll be playing Vigier in the near(ish) future!

I've asked for prices etc from SoundsGreat/MachineHead and i've been told that the Urban blue finish on a Supra has an upcharge, however there is no asterix on this site...confused =s.

Hi Ant,         Urban Blue is a standard colour as is Urban Metal...of the Urban colours only Urban Green is a special option on the Excalibur Supra.
