Vigier Guitars

Hello, I'm thinking about buying a 7 string Vigier on evil-bay. My question is this: the seller says he bought it direct two and half years ago yet the neck plate says '01. Here's his message

the back plate says 01 which i guess means 2001. i bought the
guitar brand new only 2 1/2 years ago directly from Uwe
however so that doesn't make sense unless it had been sitting at
the factory or something.

It looks like this guitar is from 2002 and i have no idea why it was sold in 2005.

No it left in 2002
