Damaged bridge

Hi, While changing strings, I noticed that the chrome layer on the bridge was getting of. It is the original bridge, I didn't make any change. I have no idea how it happened, I'm so annoyed! How can this be fixed?

Apart from taking this to a specialist to have it 're-chromed' the only other alternative maybe to replace the whole bridge?

Apparently only the broken small piece can be replaced, I emailed Vigier to know more about it.
