Hello out there,
I'm contacting you today because of some problems that I have for a certain amount of time with my switch and my volume potentiometer on my 2006 Excalibur Indus. Basically, these two components are making some parasite sounds (Sractchy sound, losing gain, ...) which are very annoying. I've opened the guitar to see if some wires were disconnected. It was actually the case so I've repaired that by soldering again and it improved the scratchy sounds but I still have to face some gain losing. By the way, I've also put some contact spray on the potentiometers as well. I think I'll bring the guitar to a luthier to make a check-up of the entire system and definitely fix the problem. In order to do that, I need to have the official electrical scheme of the guitar. Please send it to me on the forum or by mail as soon as possible. Thank you very much by advance,
Kind Regards,
Arnaud Krakowka

Hello Arnaud,
The problem may very well be the fact that you used contact spray, this removes the lubricant between wiper and track needed for scratch free operation. If you do want to clean pots, there is a special spray available to this end.
What kind of tone controls is your guitar * with?
Best regards,
Jarno.

When a pot make noise, the best thing is to replace it.What I do not understand is why a wire was not connected, did anybody worked on the guitar? To have schematics, the best is to use the contact link on the main page of the site.
