I have an Ultra Blues, an Excalibur Speciaal, an Expert Classic Rock, and a GV semi-hollow. All of them have segmented zero frets and I'm about to order some replacement segments as some of mine have worn out. Levy’s fit the original screw perfectly, but their only chrome option is satin chrome. For that reason, I recently got the Ernie Ball equivalent of the Levy’s strap locks. What adjustments would be necessary when increasing the string gauges on a surfreter with a brass nut? Also, what level of string tension can these necks realistically take without the risk of damage?
