How to Replace Zero Fret?
Did you try gently tapping it out from the side? Screwdriver on fret tang, gently hammer on screwdriver?

New potentiometer/pot for Expert?
<t>My 15 year old Expert needs a new pot. Every time I am standing and playing and push it down a little (towards the floor) it cuts out. The shaft is wobbly.<br/> <br/> What is the factory standard pot and value, please? Or if not, what is the best brand to replace with? Dimarzio?<br/> <br/> Thanks ...

I bet a new arm would help too. See if you can source one. They can wear a tad plus not all are made equal.

Wobbly Trem Arm
<t>The sort of inbuilt trem collar system that the arm has on Vigier, is very common in the guitar world. Floyd rose arms have them too. I wondered if you have tightened the socket from the underside of the unit. ON your video, it is around the 1,22 mark you can see him with the allen key in socket ...

Silly question but have you tried tightening that trem housing using the Allen key socket on the bottom? (Little black socket?)

I'm sitting in Denmark.....
<t>I was in California music on Saturday and tried their Surfretter and Marylin and a few others, it is all amazing. The owner has a great second hand Excalibur from 1999 I think. Maple neck, natural body. A few dents to the body, but the neck is perfect. He was offering it at a very good price ...

Tronical tune on Vigiers
<t>What a cool system. I can only suggest taking a look at the templates and seeing what will work. I measured my Retro 54 (centre of tuner to centre of tuner as best I could) and it looks like Type C would be your best bet: thes 24.4 measurement for centre to centre is very close but please check ...

Loose tremolo arm on a Vigier Excalibur Special
<t>A silly question, but did you tighten the nut/black thing on the underside of the tre whilst holding the bar at the same time?<br/> Is your Vigier arm a Floyd Rose thickness arm, or an older and thinner arm? <br/> <br/> Sometimes you can buy just the "housing" for the trem arm (the cylinder the ...

Excalibur output jack
<t>I would say, get some paper, or sellotape, or electrical tape and either wrap it around the jack, or wrap it in the cavity, anywhere whee the jack might hit the body. But, if you say everything is nice and tight, it's a curious thing. Not sure it would be grounding against the shielding ...

Did you try insulating the jack from shielding paint too? Maybe it is how the jack is made. I.e. it is shorting out inside itself?

Excalibur output jack
<t>I see that I commented on that thread three years ago :p<br/> <br/> My Indus does cut out like this. It's old though! Maybe just needs tightening inside. My retro 54 and Lane do not cut out. I wonder if the barrel grounds itself on the shielding paint if the jack is pulled up a bit. If so ...

Can you feel the carbon strip sometimes?
<t>Just as Fred says, wood responds to climate, so maybe that explains your symptoms.<br/> I would like to say, and not sure if this reassures you, but: in my opinion what you describe is absolutely nothing to worry about. Ok, so it might font feel perfect but it does not mean your guitar is broken ...

Floating Trem
<t>I am fairly sure that if you loosen the strings a bit and then tighten the large springs in the back one the guitar a bit the springs will opulent the bridge onto the body. Try say two turns of the trem claw screws, into the body to make the springs pull more. Then retune. If the bridge still ...
