Replaced the new nut 10-52 myself. Simple procedure taking the old nut out and tightening the clamp for the tremolo springs. Although I * standard 10-48 strings, i can't see there will be tuning problems.

Yes that makes sense. I know with my Strat i had to adjust the claw screws. I wouldn't add an extra spring or use the triangle spring configuration.

I guess if i replaced the nut myself, I would just need to tighten or loosen the tremolo bracket to handle the slightly heavier 10's?

I am the proud owner today of a new Excalibur Supraa in urban blue. The strings on it are 9's. I guess i can use 11's instead?
