any of you guys tried these out yet?? Any particular thoughts - good/bad/no different to nickel wound??....

Yeah used them for a while. They have a nice feel to them and last better than regular slinky so worth the extra.

I'm not sure if they are balanced tension but it feels it. One thing that does take a bit of getting used to is the wound strings are rougher feeling which I like. There is defiantly more volume from the strings and more attack, so I only tend to use them on my modern guitars. 

MSteels are worth checking out they feel like regular slinkys but have similar characteristics to the cobalts.

I tried it once and was not satisfied. Then tried again. No satisfaction. I stoped :D
