My last question about pickup changing - I promise!

So I've ordered my BKP Holy Diver to put in the bridge of my Shawn Lane, and on the advsie of BKP, I've also ordered a 500k volume pot to go with it.  Will I need to change the tone pot to 500k as well?

Also, you mentioned there was some funky wiring going on - is there anything in particular that might confuse my tech?  Just so I can give him a heads up.

Thanks again guys

I would have thought the Shawn Lane already sports 500K pots (both volume and tone) ... is it not like that?

For the tone pot you can keep 500k

Hi all,

So I took my Vigier Shawn Lane to my tech to change the bridge pickup to a Bareknuckle Holy Diver.

He has had a problem though due to the screw holes.  This is what he said:

“Issue with the scratchplate/pickup - there are 3 screw holes in your scratchplate as opposed to two. I haven’t seen this before.

I think you will either need a new scratch plate or somehow to mod the original one, but I’m not sure how to solve that because the hole for your new pickup would need to be right inbetween the two existing holes (which would open up a giant hole in the scratchplate!)

Can Vigier give us any advice on the best way to do this?”

I spoke to him just now and he thinks it could be risky drilling into the pickup leg because the holes would be so close together..

What do you guys think?  He is the only tech near me so I don't really have any other option but to use him unfortunately (and I'm terrible at doing these things myself)

Thanks
