Dear Patrice and team,
I am looking for a groundplate for a 1993 Excalibur Original Floyd Rose, repair or replacement. The threads of the intonation screws are worn, the a-string can be fixed in the second threaded hole as a workaround (intonation out of tune), but this has no good prediction for the other threads. All threads were already repaired with helicoil plus http://www.boellhoff.com/en/de/fasteners/special_fasteners/thread_technology/helicoil.php , this lasted for 15 years, at least (first repair after 7 years, DIY). My impression ist, that the die cast is not as hard as the material of a second Floyd Rose from the same period I own. Plan B: transfer the ball bearings to the second Floyd Rose. Optimum woul be a steel groundplate with ball bearings already installed? Is this feasible? Any suggestions are welcome.
Best regards and thanks in advance
Martin
