is it ok to use a set of 10-46 gauge strings on my excalibur without changes to the nut slots?

Thanks for the reply. I ordered a 10-46 nut from Sound Effects. Tried searching the net for how to swap the nut but couldnt find anything apart from a mention in a Music Radar/Guitarist review that the nut could be easily swapped. so as i could not wait for a reply on the forum, i decided to just go ahead myself and remove the existing nut. I pulled out the old nut with my fingers (with some effort) and * the new one without hassle. The nut has a hole underneath at one end which helps position it correctly onto the corresponding bolt in the nut slot. Very easy procedure. I found that tuning stability was terrible using the old nut cut for 9s. I play regular tuning and 1/2 step down tunings on the one guitar so 10s sound better to me.

If your Excalibur is recent (with a teflon nut) it is very easy to change the nut. Pull it, put the new onet... no tool needed
