hey guys just got a excalibur special online second hand delivered today.  it was made in 2012 and everything is perfect but. when i bend the g string up it squeaks right after i bend it back down or do vibrato after it :( which is quite upsetting.

Is it possible that I need to use nut sauce on the nut, is the nut having a problem from not being cut properly or

is it from the zero fret?  have never really had this problem on my other guitars

this guitar doesnt really look used. so im nut sure what the problem is.

please, any help would be appreciated

thanks!

Have you checked at the bridge where the string sits on a groove on the roller type thing. It could be that the string is not in the groove- sometimes the string may slip off after a strenouse dive bomb or after a string change.

Sympathies though with your problem. I had a long running g string issue but it seems it was to do with my playing technique.

Hey man thanks for your reply!. I will check the bridge later to see. But the ping sound is coming from the nut area :( I have checked the zero fret, and it appears to have a little groove in it already, but whether or not the ping comes from nut or zero fret is something I hope that the members on the forum can help me out with.

This sounds like the ping comes from the nut - it should be easy enough to replace and eliminate the 'ping'.

Thanks for your reply! Is it possible to get a replacement nut?

Yes, see with the dealers / distributor in your country. Should be easy enough to source.
