Hello!

I recently picked up an Excaliber Special from a store. It is awesome! I'll post a pic soon. fireburst model with white pearloid guard and maple board.

In the store I only really played through an amp and didn't notice any issue, but I've been playing unplugged and the A string only suffers from some buzz at every fret I think. Worst at the lowest frets where it starts to choke out and sounds a bit phasey. I'm guess I just need to tweak the saddle height? All the other strings are fine.

Other than that (which i think is pretty minor) the guitar is awesome. The trem is amazing. I'm looking forward to many years of fun with this.

One question I have is that I really like using bareknuckle pickups and I'd be interested in getting a scratchplate with holes to suit. (2 screw per side pickup mounting).

glad to own this beast. Hope the saddle height is an easy fix.

If that doesn't work - I suggest trying a brand new A string - it could be the string/windings which are faulty - I have had this before with duff wound or unwound strings
