Appreciate your suggestion re the Fender Bullets. For me, it is not a solution and doesn't address the root cause of the problem. Especially on a "High End" instrument. Perhaps I bought a bad batch (box) of Ernie Ball strings... I don't want to waste them all now on my Vigier, so I'll use them on my 2 Suhrs (which are actually been played a lot more nowadays  ). On my excalibur special with the ernie ball's strings I have the same problem but all works fine with the d'addario's strings ... retry to use that ....

That's exactly the reason why I've mentioned the bullet ends at the beginning of this discussion, the solution is technically perfect! Why tinkering around with ball ends and tuning problems, when there is a much better product?
