Appreciate your suggestion re the Fender Bullets. For me, it is not a solution and doesn't address the root cause of the problem. Especially on a "High End" instrument.
Perhaps I bought a bad batch (box) of Ernie Ball strings... I don't want to waste them all now on my Vigier, so I'll use them on my 2 Suhrs (which are actually been played a lot more nowadays ![]()
).

That's exactly the reason why I've mentioned the bullet ends at the beginning of this discussion, the solution is technically perfect!
