I'm having some problems with the Neck pickup in my Excalibur Indus and just wondering what it could be.. same DiMarzio PAF's it was delivered with and had it about 3 years.
Position
1 Humbucker in neck position
2 Single-coil in neck position
3 Single-coil in neck & bridge position
4 Single-coil in bridge position
5 Humbucker in bridge position
5,4 and 3 work, but not 1 and 2.
I get a buzzing sound like if the guitar cord isn't properly connected or there's an open circuit.
Since there's no problem with 3, I'm wondering if the Schaller switch is damaged?
I guess it couldn't be anything wrong with the actual neck pup, since I do get output from it with 3 (get about the same output tapping on it as I do with the bridge pickup)?
Volume and tone pots work fine.

If it is the Schaller, would I be ok just replacing it with a Schaller Megaswitch 'E' model and wire it up the same way?
