Hi,

What if the frets are worn out on a Vigier... Is het best to order a new neck then and have a luthier set it up?

The best is just to change the frets.

You mean the necks even stay straight when the frets are being replaced???

Hi! Fret replacement is a regular service procedure which is done on all guitars from time to time. Frets get worn out with time because of playing, which is normal. Fret replacement procedure has nothing to do with neck straightness. Of course, you shouldn't replace the neck unless something is wrong with it! The only thing to consider is bringing your guitar to a qualified technician! Don't worry!

Thanks, but, in terms of man hours, isn't it far cheaper to just put on a new neck by a luthier then replacing all frets?
