Arpege fretless 5-string bass built for and played by Alphono Johnson for sale

I am selling this very special bass. The instrument came to me through a friend bassist in hamburg, germany, who received it directly from Alphonso Johnson while he was studying in LA. It has the phenowood fingerboard, but with the fret markings in the position they would have on a fretted bass - you have to push down the strings BETWEEN the fret markings, not ON them.
The electronics section has been built in by Alphonso, as I was informed by Patrice Vigier. Serial Number is 045, colour is dark blue high-gloss. The bass is in a very good shape generally - despite the fingerboard could be sanded one day and the volume pot makes a noise. The bass comes in it?s original soft case with a french bass magazine in which there is an interview with Alphonso showing him with the bass.
