Hi Steve...              I see you are looking for seven string Vigier tones...I used to play an Ibanez Universe (and many other 7 strings) and have played several Vigier 7 strings (plus many Vigier 6 strings) ...The Vigier 7 string is a lot, and I mean a LOT more stable than the Universe (or other 7 string guitars for that matter). It has more depth to the tone, the low end is very tight and has a sonic clarity I have not heard on any other 7 string guitar (even tuned down to A or drop G) and the highs chime with pleasing tones still cutting through any mix...BUT...this is not a one trick pony, the cleans and jazz tones are amazing, like silk to your ears and the range of styles this guitar can produce are stunning - it is very versatile and will get perfect results for any type of music, be it heavy dropped tuning metal, rock, pop, fusion or jazz tones. If you have had the chance to play / feel any Vigier instrument you will know all about the build quality and features.   If you are a 7 string player or considering getting a 7 string you will not be disappointed with a Vigier...however, do be warned if you get another 7 string guitar then play a Vigier 7 string after you may feel sad...trust me, I used to love my Universe until I played a Vigier, now I have played my Universe for a total of 10 mins in the last three years!!

Hi Ben, Thanks for the reply regarding Vigier 7 string, When i got my vigier Excalibur custom 2years ago i experienced the same thing as you described, i hardly touched my Ibanez JS so it was fascinating to hear that you were the same. Thanks to your reply i have decided that a vigier 7 string is the only way to go!   Thanks for getting back to me, have a listen to our tracks if you get chance.   Keep Rocking!   Steve Foy!

Hey Steve - just checked out your tracks, they are good, especially Path of the Storm live - I like the use of the whammy as well - tasteful! Are you using your Custom for these tracks?

Hi Steve,           I will be at the Music Live if you wish to talk to me but we are not exhibiting - I am there just to have a look around. Our next major UK show scheduled right now will be the London International Music Show (May8-11th 2008).  The Shawn Lane is an amazing guitar with the flat radius; well worth checking out...it may be worth getting in touch with our new UK dealers to talk about the guitar or to go try some out!

I will not waste my time this year on the off chance that you turn up. I am sure no Vigier players live north of Watford anyway. As for London, I think you know the answer to that one.

Steve; I have not yet confirmed which day I will be in attendance.  Kevan; it would have been good to meet at the Music Live show last year - as you know, my time there was very short and I had many prior commitments. I also visited as a guest only.  This year I will be going as a Vigier representative and although my free time will be limited, I will try to make myself as available as I can to meet with any fellow Vigier players - both current and prospective.

Hi Steve, no probs with London as such apart from the usual stuff, I will go to that as well but it is nine months away, I think Vigier miss out not doing the NEC but that is up to them. I am a Vigier player and will seek them out but other people/players will not and that is a shame. What day/days will you be at the NEC, we can have a beer and a chat if you like

Didn't want to start a new topic on this. Can anyone tell me what year vigier started using the 2017 ball bearing trem on the excalibur supra 7 string? What model trem did they use before this? Is it a direct swap out for the 2017? Sorry, thinking of getting one second hand but i really like the idea of a ball bearing trem.
