Biography: |
Thomas Bressel, a native guitarist of Basse-Normandie (france), began classical guitar in 1993 in a classical music school, discovered Django
Reinhardt, Marcel Dadi, Al Di Méola, and finished his studies at the National Music Academy of Caen. He started electric guitar as a self-taught
in July 1994 and discovered Megadeth, Jason Becker, Frank Gambale, Steve Trovato. ... then followed some training courses at the MAI of Nancy.
In 1998 he became professional while teaching in different music schools, recorded some demo CDs, and joined many rock bands. In 2001, Thomas started
a research on pedagogy and began to work on an electric guitar method, that will consist in 8 volumes.
In the meantime, he played on different compilations, appeared on many artists' CDs and composed his first album in 2003 (a demo version), then
finally had it produced by Youri De Groote in 2006 with some guest guitarists such as: Ron THAL, Christophe GODIN, Youri De GROOTE and Yann
ARMELLINO.
The same year he joined the CMF (Conférération Musical De France) to prepare the programs of the federal exams for electric guitar, a team composed of
Francis DARIZCUREN.
After having worked with another big French guitar company for 3 years, Thomas has turned himself towards the VIGIER guitars, finding at last
reliability and confidence in the instruments. Thomas endorses BRUNETTI amps the same year, and teaches guitar on some
French internet website like E-Guitare Magazine (www.eguitaremag.com) and Guitariff (www.guitariff.net).
